Additional benefits from gardening...

Gardening, or simply being around plants is a new trend used by experts to help ease pain and improve the health of older adults.  They are finding that gardening can reduce stress, lower high blood pressure as well as help maintain mobility and flexibility.  In addition, our project will provide a social setting that helps aging adults forget about other aches and pains.

Just remember to work your garden during the early morning or late afternoon hours and remember to drink plenty of water and rest under our canopy at one of the picnic tables so you do not over do it.

Finally, remember to dress appropriately and wear sunscreen!
